The purpose of the Niagara Climate Change Project is to understand the existing network of stakeholders in the Niagara Region who participate or may have an interest in ecosystem and environmental management, identify the nature of linkages among regional stakeholders and engage the network in planning for adaptation to climate change and related risk management. The project is based on the notion of Social-Ecological System analysis and a key aspect is identifying or bridging a social network of key stakeholders in the Region. This report presents the results of the survey conducted in the first Niagara Climate Change Project workshop, which focused on a rapid assessment of the impacts of climate change in the Niagara region and climate change related perceptions, organizational activities and knowledge needs.
